About the event

The display will be held at STEAM - Museum of the Great Western Railway in Swindon on 3rd and 4th October 2009. This year, the display will be bigger than ever, with even more activities for all the family to enjoy and participate in. All models on display are built by Brickish Association members, making it the largest display of LEGO fan models in the UK.

What to expect

There will be plenty to see and do, making it a fabulous day out for all the family:

  • Lots of models of all sizes built by LEGO fans such as railway layouts, buildings, space craft, cars, trucks, aircraft and much more
  • Interactive Building - help create an all-new giant LEGO mosaic from 100,000 bricks!
  • Building Workshops - enjoy short presentations by LEGO experts on the latest LEGO building software and techniques for you to try at home
  • Visit the LEGO Shop and other independent LEGO traders for some great deals on some exclusive LEGO sets not available on the high street
  • LEGO play tables for the children (and sofas for the adults!)
  • Competitions - win LEGO prizes
  • Brick Cafe - to keep you refreshed in first class style.

  • all the regular displays and exhibits telling the remarkable story of the men and women who built, operated and travelled on the Great western Railway.

How to get there

STEAM is signposted on all major routes into Swindon. Look out for the brown tourist signs for the Outlet Centre, Great Western Heritage Area, and follow the 'M' for STEAM Museum signs. Yellow AA roadsigns will also be in place during the event.

STEAM can be found adjacent to the McArthur Glenn Outlet Village. Retain your admission ticket and claim free parking at the Outlet Centre car park. Details are available when visitors buy their admission tickets at STEAM.

The following museum entrance charges apply:

  • Adults: £8.00
  • Children (aged 3-16)/Seniors: £5.50
  • Family (2 + 2): £24.00
  • Family (2 + 3): £27.00
  • Under 3s go free
